K people I need your help!!!!(Tattoo related)

I'm looking to get my first of hopefully very many tattoos soon. I've wanted one since I was 16 and I am now 23. I basically know what want but still need some help deciding. I'm going to get my middle name on the back of my right forarm. Why my middle name? Because it's unusal and pays tribute to my mom's side of the family. By the way, my middle name is Talley. I'm not sure what kind of font I want yet, I've been looking all over the net and have found some cool ones but nothing really that has grabbed my eye. I want something similair to Old English, or something fancy like that. When I go to the tattoo shop, should I expect them to have different styles of font to pick from, or do I need to come in prepared? The shop I'm going to get it done at is very well known here and is top notch. But the main thing I'm trying to decide is, what I want around the lettering, or if I should get something done inside the letting and not just fill it in. Here's some of my ideas: I was originally thinking about getting a four leaf clover centered behind Talley and have spider webs along the sides of the clover. Or I was thinking about ditching the clover and just getting spider webs for the background. Or maybe nothing behind Talley and have the spider webs inside the letters. I'm not set on spider webs, but I want something dark like webs, skulls, or anything else cool you guys can think of. Should I just go in and tell the artist my ideas and go from there, or should I have it all planned out before I go in. I would greatly appreciate if you guys would share any cool pictures that might help me decide!

Hey Bro, having had my own shop I'll let ya know most shops don't have a wide selection of fonts.
I suggest going to www.fontfreak.com and finding what you like the most then using a graphic program get yourself all set up size and style.

I learned long ago to have more then one style of font now everything i have is on the pc and I can sit down with a client and desgn out exactly what they want.

Thanks for the help blackrhyno. I checked out all the fonts on that site and printed out the ones that caught my eye. Tomorrow I'll post them on the board to get your guys' input.

The spider webs on the cloer sound cool, but, maybe a little over the top

a spider-web backgroudn wouldn't be too bad, if witha nice font over top

I say at least go with some sort of Clover behind
